Ah, yes, I haven't even mentioned the refreshment station at the chemo barn. Coffee and tea available. Little bags of pretzels and. . .Laura is now back--seems like Animal Crackers, too. Yes, Mom, this what your first born is eating for breakfast.
You have found Amy Ferrone Ponce's blog that began when I was diagnosed with advanced staged III breast cancer and ended with a story from my last major surgery.
I am now 3 1/2 out from diagnosis, and the whole experience now feels like a very distant dream. I'm glad I wrote all this down as I was living it. As I re-read it, I think, "You were really certain that God would bring sweetness out this cancer and you were really certain that there were better days ahead."
I was right. And if anything I've shared here can be a help or encouragement to you in your journey, it's all the sweeter.
What? You think just 'cus you're cancer, you're some kind of big shot?
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
